UPDATED: Prince confirmed for Croke Park
As predicted by hotpress.com, Prince will be joining the lineup of summer concerts scheduled in Dublin's Croke Park stadium.
Prince will play Croke Park this June 16, joining already-confirmed summer headliners Celine Dion, Westlife and Neil Diamond in GAA headquarters.
A huge venue, but eminently packable given the 21 shows His Royal Purpleness played last year in London’s 20,000-capacity O2 Arena. Most of the sets were over three-hours long and – hooray! – jam-packed with hits.
It'll be his first visit here since November 2002 when he played an absolute stormer in The Point Theatre.
The gig goes on sale on March 5 at 8am, with tickets costing €66.50.
