UK indie rockers Wet Leg reveal debut record with two new songs
Wet Leg's latest single from their self-titled debut, 'Too Late Now', is out now.
Rising indie band originally from the Isle of Wright, Wet Leg, announced their debut album yesterday.
Their self-titled LP (cover pictured above) will arrive April 8 on Domino Records, just before the two band members, Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, head out on tour with Chvrches as their opener.
In a statement about the new record, Teasdale said, "It is about sleepwalking into adulthood."
"I never imagined that my adult life would look the way it does and I guess this song reflects on some of the pressures and pulls of life. Sometimes I get really inside my head and everything can feel very overwhelming. I think this song is about accepting that life can feel a bit shit from time to time. Maybe don't indulge that thought too much though. Just take some time for yourself. Take a breath. Have a bath. It might make you feel a bit better."
Two songs were released with the album announcement to whet fan's appetites; 'Too Late Now' and 'Oh No'. The former comes with a music video directed by Fred Rowson.
Both tracks will be on the record alongside their previous singles 'Chaise Longue' and 'Wet Dream'.
