U2's Songs of Experience tops the Irish Album Charts on opening week
Seven days after its release, U2's fourteenth studio album sits at No. 1 on the album charts.
We can't say we didn't see it coming, but the biggest rock band in the world are back on top. Following a three year wait, U2's Songs of Experience came like a breath of fresh air. For those who want to explore the album further, have a read of our track-by-track breakdown of the album, and Olaf Tyaransen's review. And don't forget, the four men themselves grace the cover of the Hot Press 2018 Annual, which you can find more details about below.
Elsewhere in the Charts, Christy Moore continues to ride high with compilation album On The Road sitting at No. 2, Ed Sheeran's Divide comes in at No. 3, and Taylor Swift remains at No. 4 with Reputation, as she plots her second stadium concert at Croke Park this summer. The only other newcomer in the Top 30 this week is Van the Man, who comes in No. 28 with his 38th studio album.
