U2 World Tour Dates Announced
Having been forced to postpone the first batch of dates due to a family illness, U2 have confirmed that their 2005 Vertigo World Tour will kick off in San Diego on March 28.
As revealed in Hotpress before Christmas, the trek will stop-off in Dublin's Croke Park on June 24, with well-placed sources suggesting that provision has been made for a second show in the 60,000-capacity venue.
"Now that all the logistics are worked out, the band are really looking forward to getting on the road," enthuses manager Paul McGuinness. "I've heard the new songs in rehearsal, they sound really great and the new production is going to blow everyone away."
Tickets for Croke Park go on sale at 9am on Friday February 4, with 0818 719 300 (Ireland); 0870 243 44 55 (The North); and +353 1 456 9569 (International) the Credit Card Hotlines to contact.
Tickets are priced €59.50, €70 and €80 including booking fee.
