Tyler, the Creator shares new single 'LUMBERJACK', sampling Gravediggaz
Tyler’s last studio LP 'Igor' landed in 2019, later winning the Best Rap Album Grammy award.
Rapper, musician, songwriter, producer, actor, visual artist, designer and comedian Tyler, the Creator has shared his first solo track since 2019's IGOR, in the form of beat-heavy 'LUMBERJACK'.
The 30-year-old Californian rapper shared a teaser video titled 'Side Street' earlier this week, seemingly hinting at new music.
'LUMBERJACK' samples Gravediggaz’s '2 Cups of Blood' and has mixtape-style shoutouts from DJ Drama.
Ahead of the 'Side Street' clip, a series of billboards appeared up in Los Angeles featuring the phrase “Call Me If You Get Lost,” which also featured in the 'Side Street' video. The billboards also included a phone number, which Tyler later tweeted. The same teasers appear at the end of the “Lumberjack” visuals.
Since IGOR won a Grammy award, Tyler has hopped on tracks with Channel Tres ('Fuego') and Brent Faiyaz ('Gravity'), and composed a jingle for Coca-Cola titled 'Tell Me How'.
