The Scots have also announced details of their new album, The Invisible Band, which is due through Independiente on June 12th. Produced by Radiohead cohort Nigel Godrich, tracks include ‘Sing’, ‘Dear Diary’, ‘Side’. ‘Pipe Dreams’, ‘Flowers In The Window’, ‘The Cage’, ‘Safe’, ‘Last Train’, ‘Afterglow’, ‘Indefinitely’ and the intriguingly-titled ‘Humpty Dumpty Love Song’.
Dublin is the first port of call in a trek that’ll be taking them to all five continents.
“We plan to tour for 18 months, just like we did on The Man Who,” reveals Fran Healy. “It’ll see us playing in places that we’ve played before and in places that we haven’t played before. It’s gonna be a long haul.”
Having shocked/delighted fans with their cover of ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’, Travis have tackled ‘Killer Queen’ for the B-Side of their ‘Sing’ single, which is due on May 28th.
