After a hiatus, the Dublin singer-songwriter has returned with this '80s, electro-pop feel track.
Irish singer-songwriter Colin O'Shea has released the first single from his forthcoming sophomore album, titled 'Hollywood On Fire'.
The Dublin-based musician's latest release is something unexpected. Still fronting unique raspy vocals, the tune is much lighter and dancier than other work by O'Shea. A perfect re-emergence onto the scene, it's clear the musician's talent wasn't lost over his hiatus.
O’Shea burst onto the scene in October 2017 with his debut single, ‘Booze n’ Hangovers’, a Spingsteen-esque anthem. In November of same year, the singer-songwriter released his debut album, Scars and Tones, to widespread critical acclaim.
His debut album drew comparisons with Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave, Bob Dylan and U2.
The positive response to O'Shea's work set the musician up as one of the Irish artists to watch in 2018. The singer went on to make his festival debut during summer 2018 opening the Castlepalooza boutique Irish festival.

Getting ready to start on his sophomore album, all was going according to plan until the pandemic hit putting the end of the record on hold. During that period, O'Shea incurred further tragedy with the sudden loss of his friend, band drummer and confidant, Paul Lynch.
However, the Dublin songwriter is now back, and ready to pick up where he left off. His studio sophomore album is now complete and due out March 2023, with a new single expected each month before then.
