The Kilkenny-based musician has recently blown up on TikTok, gaining 100K followers and garnering over 5 million views on his videos.
With a mental health epidemic showing no signs of slowing down nationwide, Robert's track is sure to connect with young audiences experiencing anxiety and depression.
“The song is about pretending to be ok when you’re really not,” the singer says.
“When everything is all an act. You might not even be in a bad situation but still, for some reason somethings not right and you’re trying to figure out what that something is.”
Robert has been compared to the likes of Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth as a result of his heartfelt pop sound - perfect for radio.
The track 'Fake Fine' comes after a steady stream of successful singles, which saw Robert crowned ‘Artist of the week’ on Today FM.
The Kilkenny singer-songwriter has performed at Ireland’s biggest festivals Electric Picnic & Indiependence, as well as co-writing with some of the most prestigious songwriters in the UK.
Experienced industry professions like Dan McDougall (The Wanted, The Shires), Blair MacKichan (Paloma Faith/Sia/Lily Allen), Phil Thornalley (Natalie Imbruglia/Pixie Lott) and Josh Wilkinson (One Direction / 5 seconds of Summer) have helped Robert to hone his songwriting craft.
