The Strypes to support The Arctic Monkeys
The Cavan lads will be supporting The Arctic Monkeys on their UK and European tour later this year….
We're only half way through and already 2013 has been a massive year for the Cavan based quartet. Having signed with Mercury records in December the band have gone from strength to strength appearing on Chelsea Lately and Later….with Jools Holland along with touring with the likes of Snow Patrol and Noel Gallagher before selling out London's 100 Club.
Now it seems they've taken another jump forward having been confirmed as The Arctic Monkeys' lead support for their UK tour in October.
The lads will play eight shows with the monkeys spanning across Newscastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham, Glasgow and Sheffield. The Strypes will also support The Arctics on their European tour with only the German dates and one Italian date announced thus far.
You can catch both The Arctic mOnkeys and The Stypres in Stradbally this year when they play Electric picnic in August.
