The Strypes knock Ed Sheeran off top spot
Cavan youngsters claim pole position with Little Victories
Little Victories, the sophomore effort from Cavan teenagers The Strypes, has leapt straight to the top of the Irish album charts.
Ed Sheeran's x has been a tough one to knock off the summit, but this week the flame-haired troubadour has to settle for No. 2, behind the Irish youngsters; given that they've just been confirmed for next weekend's Electric Picnic, you can be pretty sure there'll be plenty of the Stradbally faithful learning lyrics for the coming week.
Another new entry is at No. 3 - Jess Glynne's I Laugh When I Cry - while Dr. Dre's Compton grabs fourth spot.
Below that are some of the usual suspects; Taylor Swift claims No. 5 with 1989, while her pal Hozier's eponymous LP sits at No. 6. Kodaline, Nathan Carter, Sam Smith and Florence + The Machine all mark another week in the top ten.
