The Scratcher: read our web only special on the New York venue
Owned and run by Karl Geary - brother of Mark - The Scratcher is part of Big Apple lore. Margaret Miller reports on a special institution
"New York is not New York because of Wall Street. Do you know what I mean? It’s these little fucking sparks that happen around the place and if you lose your culture in that way, you have nothing – there is nothing else. It’s vital. And if this place in a very small way can add to – can keep that fire burning…”
So says Karl Geary, owner and proprietor of The Scratcher, which is the focus of a very special report by Margaret Miller. From its inspirations within the famed walls of Sin-É to its role in the city that never sleeps, read all about the legendary venue right here.
