The Saw Doctors announce Dublin and Belfast Shows

The Saw Doctors have announced shows at 3Olympia, Dublin on Friday November 28 and the Ulster Hall, Belfast on Friday December 12.

The gigs come as part of The Saw Doctors' UK and Ireland tour this winter, which includes stops at Hammersmith Apollo, London on November 8, Manchester Apollo on December 6 and Glasgow Barrowland on November 14 and 15.

The announcement follows their sell out gig at Fairview Park, Dublin earlier this summer and their performance at Electric Picnic, which Hot Press called “a fantastic carnival of sound.”

The Saw Doctors will finish up the year with two more concerts before Christmas—details to be announced tomorrow at 10am.

This summer, the Saw Doctors performed sold-out gigs in Cork at Virgin Media Park and the Piece Hall courtyard in Halifax, as well as a first appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival and a coast-to-coast US tour in July, with shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and SummerStage in Central Park, New York.

“Born into a repressed, catholic, conservative, small-town, agrarian, angst-ridden & showband infested society,” said the band’s Leo Moran about their sound, “The Saw Doctors are trying to preserve the positive elements of our Irish background and marry them to the sounds which have culturally invaded our milieu through TV, radio, social media, 45’s, fast food restaurants, 24-hour petrol stations & electric blankets”.
