The National top the Irish Charts

As if we needed more confirmation about the Irish love for America's finest alt-rock crooners, The National have entered in at No. 1 on the Irish Charts with their seventh LP Sleep Well Beast. A nice treat as the lads get set to play in Cork and Dublin over the weekend.

Elsewhere, Picture This stay in second spot with their debut album, while The Script move down into third place.

The Waterboys make it to No. 5 on their first week with their new album Out Of All This Blue, while Neil Young's Hitchhiker comes in at No. 7.
