Jo Whiley's recent guests have included Paul Weller, Crowded House, Orbital, and The Last Dinner Party.
The Mary Wallopers are set to perform on Jo Whiley's Sofa Sessions tonight on BBC Radio 2. According to the BBC's website, the set – kicking off at 8pm – will feature music from the Dundalk group's latest album, Irish Rock N Roll, as well as "a previously unheard cover."
On her own Instagram, Jo Whiley stated that the performance will serve as "the perfect ending to your day or beginning of your evening" – with "lots of fun and wonderful rollicking music."
Recent guests on Jo's Sofa Sessions have included Paul Weller, Crowded House, Orbital, James, The Last Dinner Party, English Teacher, and Kate Nash.
Irish Rock N Roll – The Mary Wallopers' second studio album – was released in October 2023, and debuted on the Official Irish Albums Chart at No.2. The LP was described in Hot Press as "an essential step-up for one of the most defiant, and inherently honest, forces in modern Irish music."
