The Immediate call it a day
The Immediate have confirmed that they’ve split up due to “existential differences”.
Their last gig was on Friday night when they played as part of the Trinity Ball.
The move comes just three months after their In Towers & Clouds album was nominated for the Choice Music Prize.
In an official statement from Conor, Dave, Pete and Barra, they thank “everyone who came to our shows. everyone who loved or hated us, as well as anyone who helped us along the way. It's been a blast. Thank you, sincerely. We all still love each other. Regularly”.
Although it garnered plenty of critical acclaim – including an 8 out of 10 in Hot Press – In Towers & Clouds failed to achieve commercial lift-off on either side of the Irish Sea.
All of the band will remain in music, with solo plans being announced soon.
