Awards season is nearly done and dusted – but not before the results of the most eagerly-anticipated gong parade are finally revealed. And no, we’re not talking about the Oscars – thankfully there isn’t a tasteless Seth MacFarlane ‘boob’ joke in sight. We refer, of course, to the Hotties, as we honour the people, places and things that you thought were simply the best over the past year. And you’ve seized the opportunity to have your say with great gusto. For the past couple of weeks, HP Towers have been inundated with votes from the only judging panel certain to get it right time and again, as readers analysed the shortlists and got involved in the final round of the institution that is the Hot Press Readers’ Poll. In addition to the winners, this year’s poll has also confirmed some of the hottest new Irish talents, who have been aswarded the Hotties Bubbling Under Status. Next year the top spot! In the meantime, let’s hear it for the winners in music, film, comedy, radio, television and more, as we unveil the Hotties 2012...
