Rising Cork band The Citadels will perform for their oldest fanbase next week when they play An Cruiscin Lan
Next week marks The Citadels’ return to Cork for their first full performance in almost nine months.
Busy gigging around London, Dublin and Edinburgh, the band is now headlining An Cruiscin Lan on Thursday, April 28.
The show will be full of old and new releases, including songs from their Letting Go Holding On CD, which has been scoring them valuable airtime on stations like 2FM, Today FM and BBC 6 amongst others.
Speaking recently about the high quality of Irish exports, Tom Robinson of BBC 6 had this to say about The Citadels:

"Some great Irish music at the moment with Damiens Rice and Dempsey, Dublin's Ten Speed Racer, Cork's Simple Kid, - and now this assured debut from The Citadels where the fresh, confident songwriting of frontman Cormac O’Caoimh suggests a promising future for the band."
For Cormac's part, the lead singer has performed several solo gigs of late and is set to support Nick Kelly on May 5 at the Foyer, Sky Bar, and headline there on May 18 (with Colum Regan).
