The Answer get AC/DC support
Hot Press’ favourite classic rockers, The Answer, are to open for AC/DC on the North American leg of their Black Ice World Tour.
AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour runs from October 28 to January 31 and includes two sell-out Madison Square Garden shows on November 12 and 13.
“It’s an honour and a privilege for The Answer to be offered the opportunity to support probably the greatest rock ‘n’ roll act on the planet,” enthuses lead singer Cormac Neeson. “We’re incredibly humbled.”
The news coincides with the Downpatrick outfit signing a US deal with Brooklyn independent The End Records who release an EP on November 11 featuring the Guitar Hero: World Tour soundtracking ‘Never Too Late’, new song ‘Highwater Or Hell’ and live in Japan versions of ‘The Doctor’ and ‘Come Follow Me’.
Also available from theanswer.ie online shop is Live At Planet Rock Xmas Party, the first in a series of official bootlegs, which features a guest appearance by Free legend Paul Rodgers.
Best of all, the chaps are playing an AC/DC warm-up show on October 16 in Belfast’s Spring & Airbrake. Tickets are £6.
