SUNDOWN join forces with James Smith (formerly of Gypsies On The Autobahn) on 'Chimneys' #BuyIrishMusic
Listen to SUNDOWN's new single below.
One of the most thrilling new bands to emerge on Dublin's thriving rock scene, SUNDOWN are back with their atmospheric new single 'Chimneys'. The release sees the Dublin quartet exploring a rich new sound – developed in close collaboration with James Smith (formerly of Gypsies on the Autobahn).
“Upon listening to the 'Chimneys' demo, it was the same feeling I got when I heard their timeless first release ‘Deal With The Devil’," James reveals. "I knew I wanted to be involved in it in some way, shape, or form.”
As well as selling out a headline show in Whelan’s last year, SUNDOWN have toured Ireland with gigs from Belfast to Cork – making their festival debut at Independence and supporting acclaimed artists like Sion Hill & Larkins. The band have already amassed over 125,000 collective streams on Spotify and have built up an ever-growing fanbase on YouTube and Instagram – thanks to the massive success of their weekly Quarantine Sessions.
Although a notable change in tempo for the band, 'Chimneys' marks SUNDOWN as one of the most compelling new forces in Irish music. Listen below:
