Steve Vai for Dublin
The guitarist is crossing the Atlantic this Winter.
Legendary axeman Steve Vai is Vicar St.-bound on December 4 in support of his 16th solo album, The Story Of Light, which is among this week’s Free Music Friday goodies.
Normally describing somebody as “a visionary composer, and consummate producer who sculpts musical sound with infinite creativity and technical mastery” would be hyperbole but the American really can make that guitar talk and cry.
Along with his solo work, Vai has been a member of Whitesnake – David Coverdale credited him with “weaving sonic tapestries from hell” – and the Frank Zappa and David Lee Roth bands.
Tickets priced €41 go on sale on Friday August 24.
