The Ocean Colour Scene star is embarking on an Irish tour that includes a night in the capital.
Best known as the one of the driving forces behind Ocean Colour Scene, who rose to fame off the back of a raft of golden singles during the Britpop era, Steve Cradock is also a renowned six-stringer, having lent his talents to the likes of Paul Weller and Amy MacDonald over the years.
For the past half decade or so, Cradock has been focusing on his solo career. With three albums under his belt – his latest, Travel Wild –Travel Free, arrived last September – he's now in the midst of 10 dates with Ireland.
Cradock kicked off his nationwide tour in Dundalk's Spirit Store last night, and will be entertaining a Valentine's crowd in the Wexford Arts Centre this evening. He then brings his full band to the likes of Waterford, Cork and Slane.
Dublin fans have their chance to catch him next Wednesday (Feb 19) at a performance in the warm environs of Café en Seine, and the jaunt will culminate in gig in Portlaoise. Tickets cost €15, go to [link]tickets.ie[/link] to secure them.
