Stephen Young, The Still Tide & Kimberly Ford for Monroe's Live
Three gigs for Monroe's Live and The Backstage Bar this May.
Another week, another raft of gig announcements from Monroe's Live, the award-winning music venue in Galway.
Up first, Friday May 1 finds Stephen Young and The Union playing The Backstage Bar. If you fancy taking in what is sure to be an evening of captivating Americana and folk-rock, tickets are €5.
Next up, Thursday May 7 sees The Still Tide in Monroe's Live. The US trio, who first met in NYC before heading for Denver, are currently touring internationally to support their new EP, Half Empty Rooms. Support comes from indie-poppers little xs for eyes. Tickets are priced €8/€5.
The following night, Friday May 8, is A Celebration Of Joni Mitchell (pictured). Kimberly Ford will be tackling songs from each decade of Joni's storied career, backed by Ray Ray Yrure on percussion and bassist Dave Curtis.
Tickets are €10/€8 and doors in Monroe's Live are 9.30pm.
