Special free gig lined up for Guinness Cork Jazz Festival

While there's plenty of must-see shows already confirmed for the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival – Robert Glasper, Jason Marsalis, Sheryl Baker and The Hot Club of Cowtown among them, not to mention like the likes of Picture This, Rodrigo y Gabriela, BellX1 and more homegrown heroes – there's one more surprise that's still under wraps.
A special – and completely free – gig has been lined up for the Opera House Plaza, Emmet Place on the Friday of the Leeside weekender, which will feature two of the most exciting acts of the festival. Is all pretty hush-hush at the moment – but given the standard of performer on the bill we're willing to bet good money that it's going to be something pretty amazing indeed!
