Sorry I Made You Lush
The latest Wagon Christ offering arrives, and it is in trademark territory – funky, funny, kitsch, dubby, (classic) breaky and innovative. But – crucially – it’s chock full of tunes.
After all these years and all those releases, it’s kinda hard to be blown away by Luke Vibert in the way certain quarters used to. If he was a relative, he’d be the odd aunt that calls over too much, but is perfectly good company once she’s ensconced on the couch, sherry in hand. And so Luke’s latest Wagon Christ offering arrives, and it is in trademark territory – funky, funny, kitsch, dubby, (classic) breaky and innovative. But – crucially – it’s chock full of tunes – ‘The Funnies’, ‘Kwikwidetrax’, the quirk-lounge ‘Shadows’ and the sci-fi d’n’b of the title track being our favourites. Another sherry dear?
