Somewhere In The Night
Doesn’t quite distinguish itself
‘Somewhere In The Night’ is nicely produced with pleasant melodies, gorgeously arranged strings, twinkly guitar lines and is sung tunefully. But the whole is less than the sum of its parts. Like many well-produced albums by singer-songwriters it basically involves a lot of obviously talented people searching for an identity and a purpose – and not finding it.
