SOAK wins European Border Breakers Award
Following in the footsteps of Hozier, Kodaline, The Script and more.
A victory for great taste and, more specifically, Bridie Monds-Watson today as SOAK wins a 2016 European Border Breakers Award (EBBA).
The news has just been announced on RTÉ 2fm’s Nicky Byrne Show with Jenny Greene.
She follows in the Irish footsteps of the likes of Hozier, who scooped an EBBA last year, Kodaline, James Vincent McMorrow and The Script, while past European winners include Adele, Anna Calvi and Mumford & Sons. Safe to say it's a pretty good thing for your career, then.
The gong will be officially handed over at a January 13 ceremony hosted by Jools Holland during Eurosonic 2016 in Groningen.
SOAK released her exquisite debut Before We Forgot How To Dream to rave reviews this summer.
A hearty congratulations from Team HP!
