Sneak peak of Neil Hannon, Jape, Romeo Stodart and Cathy Davey's upcoming JD Set performance..
We've got footage of them rehearsing 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa', and we like what we hear!
Ahead of their JD Set performance on April 1, Neil Hannon and his merry band of musicians (that's Cathy Davey, Richie Egan and The Magic Numbers' Romeo Stodart to you and me) have been busy rehearsing!
The foursome will pay homage to Vampire Weekend's self-titled debut, and we've got footage of them putting their own spin on 'Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa'.
Of his choice of album, Hannon recently told Hot Press: "A lot of people might think 'Vampire Weekend? That's not an old classic!' Well I think it's sort of a new classic! When it came out I heard one track on the radio and thought 'That's pretty cool', got the album and I was amazed. In fact, I just kept it on rotation for about three weeks. It does it for me on every level - stylistically, lyrically, melodically. They know when to stop, as well as when to start."
