Ricochet is Snail Mail’s first album in five years. After the release of 2021's Valentine, Jordan underwent surgery to remove vocal polyps and attended intensive speech therapy.
Jordan’s new voice is front and center on lead single ‘Dead End’, a nostalgic grungegaze homage to a bygone suburban tryst.
“We shot the video for ‘Dead End’ in random places all around rural North Carolina between the hours of 5pm and 4am on one of the coldest nights of my life,” Jordan said in a press release. “The goal was to be inconspicuous with the fireworks, but someone called the cops on us.”
Produced by bassist Aron Kobayashi Ritch (Momma), Richochet features 11 new tracks with themes of lost friendship, growth, and the nature of existence. The album art was contributed by Etta Friedman, Momma vocalist and Jordan’s girlfriend.
Between albums, Jordan made her acting debut in A24’s I Saw the TV Glow.
Along with the release of ‘Dead End’, Snail Mail has announced a spring 2026 North American tour. European dates have yet to be announced.
