Sketched For Life
A double CD from the talented Cisco Ferreira that serves as a fine introduction to his sound.
A double CD from the talented Cisco Ferreira that serves as a fine introduction to his sound. Which, as you may have guessed by the label, istechno. CD2 is a compilation of his thee EPs on Tresor so far, so we’ll concentrate on CD1, eight tracks of jackin’ club techno with hints of house and electro.
Opener ‘Hi Jack’ is perfect – a rough and ready live-sounding belter that rocks a tasty off-kilter stab, while ‘Inn Touch’ is a pacy, busy unpredictable roller. ‘The Vault’ – a heavily filtered percussive assault – should see plenty of dancefloor plays, while manic but funky ‘Link’ displays Cisco’s slightly more, er, sensitive side. Quality.
