Siv Jakobsen, The Northern Belle and Louien share 'No Rush'
"It felt very important to share this song with someone I look up to, especially after being isolated for so long."
The Northern Belle have joined with fellow Norwegian singer-songwriters Siv Jakobsen and Louien to release a new single called 'No Rush'.
The Northern Belle are a Tromso-via-Oslo septet are led by singer-songwriter Stine Andreassen. Andreassen is a true storyteller, inspired by Norwegian folk and country music. The pairing of her tales with the Hardanger fiddle and the steel guitar results in a hybrid between Nordic folk and Americana.
‘No Rush’ is their first release since their critically acclaimed album, We Wither, We Bloom. The song is about taking care of each other, it felt natural for Andreassen to invite leading Norwegian export, Siv Jakobsen, and up-and-coming Norwegian indie folk act, Louien, to join her on the track. ‘No Rush’ serves as a rallying call to pick up the phone, jump on zoom and uplift each other in challenging times.
“It felt very important to share this song with someone I look up to [Siv Jakobsen] musically, especially after being isolated for so long," Andreassen explains. "To be together about something, and to be able to comfort one another is essential."
