Simple Minds set for Dublin visit
Knowing how hard it is for people to get babysitters, Simple Minds have given six months warning that they’re playing the Dublin Ambassador on February 1.
As well as taking a liberal stroll through their back catalogue, Jim Kerr & Co. will be plugging their new Black & White album, which hits the racks on September 12 and is reviewed in our next issue.
Tickets priced €38.50 and €43.50 are on sale now from the usual outlets.
Meanwhile, another elder statesman who’s Ireland-bound is Phil Collins. His November 17 stop-off in the Belfast Odyssey is part of an exotically routed trek that also takes in Russia, Lebanon, Dubai, Israel, Serbia, Lithuania and Estonia.
His First Final Farewell Tour is also expected to take in Dublin, with the most likely venue The Point.
