Shoot City Maverick
Beans, we love you.
Beans, we love you. From the proto-rave stabs of the intro, to the low-slung funk of ‘City Hawk’, through the church bell-led instrumental grime of ‘Let’s Disco, You’re Dead’ via the old-school referencing of ‘Down By Law’, the former Anti-Popper is still combining hip-hop with elements of electro, techno and electronica like no-one else (that we know of). Plus, he still has something to say, and it’ll be a while before we get sick of his sing-song flow.
