Tickets for the live-streamed gig are on sale now.
Sharon Shannon is set to perform a special live-streamed show from the National Concert Hall this St. Patrick’s Day weekend, on Saturday, March 20 – showcasing music from her new album The Reckoning as well as many fan favourites from across her catalogue.
Sharon Shannon is one of Ireland’s most accomplished traditional Irish musicians – with an ever-growing global fanbase since the release of her best-selling debut album, Sharon Shannon, in 1991.
Her latest studio album, The Reckoning, was composed, written and recorded in its entirety during lockdown – featuring over a dozen remote collaborations from locations across the globe. Guests on the album include Donal Lunny, reggae legend Dennis Bovell, Jamaican-born dub poet Linton Kwesi Johnson and rising Irish star Susan O’Neill.
For this special St. Patrick’s weekend performance, Sharon is joined by a stellar cast of musicians including Irish-Zimbabwean singer Lucia Evans, fellow former Waterboy Trevor Hutchinson on double bass, Niall Murphy on fiddle, Alan Connor on piano/guitar, drummer Steve Hogan, Luke Dunford on Hammond, Jack Maher on electric guitar/vocals and Jim Murray on acoustic guitar.
Tickets for the stream are €16.50, and are available exclusively via www.dice.fm. The concert will be available to tickets holders for 48 hours following the performance.
