Score one for Métisse
There’s good news for Métisse with the French box-office smash they’ve helped soundtrack, Lila Dit Ca (Lila Says), being picked up for US release by Metro Goldwyn Mare.
This follows on from the standing ovation it received recently when it featured as part of Robert Redford’s Sundance Festival.
Directed by Quentin Tarantino’s right-hand man Ziad Doueri, it tells the story of the titular 16-year-old sex kitten who’s just moved with her creepy aunt into a poor neighborhood populated primarily by Arab families.
Presided over by Nitin Sawhney, the score also features the Gallic delights of Air.
