Sad news for U2 as Larry Mullen's father passes away
Larry Mullen Sr. was aged 92
With their iNNOCENCE & eXPERIENCE tour set to kick off later this week, U2 are coming to terms with the death of Larry Mullen Sr., the father of the band's drummer.
Mullen Sr., who was 92, died at Bons Secour Hospital on Sunday.
It is not the first time that the group have suffered a loss ahead of a major live event; the concerts the band performed at Slane in 2001 taking place just days after Bono lost his father.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with the Mullen family, and the entire U2 team.
