Rude boy returns
Dust down your pork-pie hats - former Specials and Fun Boy 3 frontman Neville Staples is coming this way.
Having spent the last few years touring in America and Japan, Neville returns to Ireland to mark the 25th anniversary of Two Tone Records with gigs at Dublin’s Voodoo Lounge on September 3 and an appearance at The Music Factory in Carlow on the following night.
Neville’s recently-released album, Rude Boy Returns, features collaborations with Mick Jones of The Clash and Rat Scabies of The Damned.
He’s also founded a new Coventry-based label, Rude Boy Music, and has joined his old mates The Special Beat Service for a couple of reunion gigs.
So get your dancing shoes on and see if you can still remember the good old days before the ghost town…
