Rubarb Music announces launch party at Whelan's set for next Tuesday
Tickets are available below.
Rubarb Music has announced a launch party at Whelan’s, set for May 27.
Taking the mainstage will be Martina and the Moons, Harry Fennell and Galia Arad. Tickets are on sale now.
“We need you to be there !” wrote Fennell on Instagram. “Tickets are cheaper than a Dublin pint so don’t let anything keep you from this wonderful line up.”
Martina and the Moons released their second single ‘Omnibus Boners’ back in April of 2024. They’re a four-piece all female band based in Dublin, and have played in venues such as The Workman’s Club, Opium, the Grand Social, the Sound House and Sin é. The group derives songwriting inspiration from artists like Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell, leaning into 90’s Brit-Pop with elements of punk.
Harry Fennell recently signed with Rubarb Music, and released his first single ‘Ablutions’ under the label this past April. Inspired by life in a modern Ireland, Fennell conjures the spirit of Bob Dylan in his work.
In a similar vein, Arad self-describes her music as “Bob Dylan meets Britney Spears.” She was chosen as Hot For 2025 by Hot Press, and cites The Pogues as a major influence. Her last single, ‘That’s Me Now,’ was released in February of 2024.
Tickets are available here.
