Rosie Carney announces new album
The new release is out February 27, 2026.
Rosie Carney has announced her new album Doomsday...Don't Leave Me Here, out February 27, 2026.
Made in collaboration with The 1975's Ross MacDonald, the project marks the artist's first new music since her 2022 sophomore record i wanna feel happy.
“Before Doomsday came about, I’d always wanted to try and expand my musical world" said Carney. "Making a sonic pivot was something I really wanted to achieve, especially as I find it really limiting to be boxed into one genre. I listen to and am influenced by so much music, so exploring a new sound has only ever been second nature to me."
"This album to me is like a body of armour and the softness lives protected within it.”
The record blends shoegaze, alt-pop and electronic textures, exploring themes of female rage, nostalgia, existential dread, love and loss.
Last week, the artist released her most recent single taken from the record 'The Evidence'. The track follows October's 'Here' and 'Fragile Fantasy'.
The Hampshire-born, Ireland-based singer emerged in 2019 with her folk style debut album Bare, followed by a full-length reimagination of Radiohead's The Bends the next year.
