Robyn releases single 'Dopamine'
Listen to ‘Dopamine’ below.
Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn returns with her single ‘Dopamine’, her first new music since 2018’s Honey.
The track is out now via Young and was co-written and produced with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund.
“The doubleness of ‘Dopamine’ is having an emotion that is super real, super strong, intense, enjoyable or painful — and at the same time knowing this is just a biological process," said Robyn. "To accept that they’re there together and to be able to go in between.”
The song is accompanied by a performance video directed by Marili Andre, who also photographed the cover artwork.

‘Dopamine’ follows Robyn’s 2018 album Honey, which Hot Press rated 9/10, and comes after a string of performances with artists including David Byrne, Charli xcx, and Gracie Abrams.
Robyn’s 1995 debut Robyn Is Here produced two Billboard top 10 singles, ‘Do You Know (What It Takes)’ and ‘Show Me Love.’ She gained international recognition with her 2005 self-titled album, which earned a Grammy nomination and featured the UK No.1 hit ‘With Every Heartbeat.’ Her 2010 Body Talk trilogy included the Grammy-nominated ‘Dancing On My Own.’
