Robbie Williams set for Croke Park shows
Having netted a not shabby €2.1 million from U2’s three concerts there, the GAA are close to finalising a deal that will bring Robbie Williams to Croke Park next June for two shows.
Williams should have no problem shifting 160,000 tickets, having played to only 30,000 fewer than that in 2003 when he headlined the Phoenix Park.
With the Association still €36 million in debt following Croker’s redevelopment, they’re also understood to have approached Bon Jovi and The Rolling Stones who are both understood to have earmarked Ireland for visits in 2006.
