Richard Dunne: Oasis gave me my baby's name
In a major interview to be published next month by Hot Press, Manchester City and (more importantly) Ireland centre-half Richard Dunne reveals that him and his partner have named their 10-month-old daughter ‘Lyla’ in honour of City supporters Oasis.
“We’ve just got in contact with them through my agent,” Dunner reveals. “We want to get some things signed that we’ll give her when she’s older. One’s a guitar that we’re hoping we can get the words to ‘Lyla’ written on.”
Dunne goes on to reveal the secrets of the Man City dressing-room ghetto-blaster.
“The gaffer (Stuart Pearce) is a demon for the Sex Pistols, Micah Richards is majorly into his R’n’B and Joey Barton’s always bringing albums in from some obscure indie band,” he laughs. “It’s very rare that a CD gets left on for more than one song!”
