Revelation – Mixed by Howells and Seaman
Howells pushes his usual diverse blend of tough, dark techno-influenced progressive gear The reliable Warren takes it a bit more ‘large’
Renaissance still find it hard to follow up the heady heights of Sasha and Digweed’s legendary Northern Exposure mix from a few years back – but this competent recent addition to the prog a-list Danny Howells and long-standing list member Nick Warren.
Howells pushes his usual diverse blend of tough, dark techno-influenced progressive gear – tracks from Reset, Ubu, Lexicon Avenue and Soul Providers showcase his enjoyably open-minded approach.
The reliable Warren takes it a bit more ‘large’ with hits from Dirty, Way Out West and iiO (both on remix form and lesser known efforts from Polaris, Paul Mac and Mavi.
Both are mixed well if somewhat unexceptionally and both beat the pants off any other mainstream mix CDs.
