Remember this classic album: David Bowie's The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
With the release of Heathen earlier this year, David Bowie showed himself to be, if not exactly in world-class form again, then at least - for the first time in an age - eminently listenable. (Our Stuart Clark was less than wholly convinced by it, but then he's something of a Thin White Duke connoisseur.) In any case, it inspired us to go back to one of the albums that not only made Bowie a star but revolutionised music as we know it and gave us the phrase, "Ziggy plaaaaaayed guitaaar..." And for this, we will always be grateful.
It is of course The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars. So sit back, paint a red lightning bolt on your face, and click here to read.
