Ravyn Lenae announces new album
The album is out on August 7 and is her first since 2024's Bird's Eye.
American R&B singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae has announced a new album, Blue Island, releasing on August 7.
She also shares her new single 'Handle'.
Her first album since 2024's Bird's Eye, featuring the track 'Love Me Not', which reached No.2 on the UK Singles Chart.
"Blue Island is a point of arrival, and feeling set in my ways and in who I am, and feeling free of any of those preconceived notions about blackness or what I had to be in the past," Lenae said on the album. "I think now it's fun to challenge the idea of what R&B is supposed to sound like, what pop is supposed to sound like...and really say 'fuck all of that' and do my own thing."
In addition to Blue Island, Lenae is set to play more than a dozen dates across North America and Europe. She'll be making a stop at Electric Picnic on August 30.
Lenae spent much of last year touring as an opening act for Sabrina Carpenter on her Short n' Sweet tour; additionally, she supported Renée Rapp on her Bite Me tour.
