Queen for Dublin + Belfast
The legendary Queen are to play two Irish dates fronted by ex- Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers.
The Belfast gig will be on May 13, with a show in Dublin’s Point the following night.
This will be Queen’s first tour since 1986. On the question of whether Paul Rodgers will be able to fill the shoes of the late great Freddie Mercury Brian May has said, "I never thought I would be doing this again. I was always against the idea of putting someone in there trying to impersonate Freddie in any way. Then suddenly I’m looking at this guy who doesn’t in any sense try to take the place of Freddie. He’s nothing like Freddie because he comes from his own place”.
The band will play all the old Queen’s favourites plus some of Rodgers’ own hits
Tickets priced €65 go on sale this Friday, March 11 from Ticketmaster and all the usual outlets.
