Pussy Riot release new video for 'RAGE', call for Navalny's release
The Russian art collective has a long history of releasing unapologetically political work, which is often critical of Russia's government.
Pussy Riot have shared a music video for their new single 'RAGE'. The video comes just days after three members of the Russian collective were arrested during a protest calling for the leader of the Russian opposition Alexei Navalny to be released.
"We demand the release of a Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, Pussy Riot’s Masha Alekhina, and all political prisoners, we ask the police to stop beating the protesters and stand together with us, we ask Putin and his team to leave the Kremlin ASAP," Pussy Riot wrote in the YouTube description of the video.
'RAGE' was written by Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova and Chris Greatti, and the track was produced by Greatti and Crazy Demxns. The chaotic video, directed and edited by Tolokonnikova, was filmed in February 2020.
