PREMIERE: Sister Fenix share new video for 'Benefactor Of Love' – a vibrant celebration of Irish art and community
Take a look at the eagerly anticipated debut video from the Irish duo below.
Following the release of their soulful debut single 'Benefactor of Love' earlier this year, Sister Fenix are back with a gloriously lavish new video for the track.
Fronted by two of the country's most captivating creatives, Jess Kav and Senita Appiakorang, Sister Fenix are gearing up to release their debut EP, Gentle Life, on June 21 – featuring 'Benefactor of Love' alongside what promises to be a brilliant blend of influences like Kimbra, Soul II Soul, Andreya Triana and Solange.
Co-directed by Sister Fenix and Paul Gleeson, the video for 'Benefactor of Love' is a compelling celebration of self-expression, Irish art and design, and the importance of community.
Shot in the new Dean Arts Studio in Dublin, the video showcases the diverse talents of various artists – including Leah Hewson, Máire O'Herlihy, Thais Muniz, and Karen Donnellan – as well as featuring performances by burlesque artist Bonnie Boux and dancer/vocalist Deborah Dickenson.
"The video is all laughs, dancing, wine, food, and play, which is exactly what we deserve after a difficult couple of years for artists," comments Jess Kav. "Everyone felt so much lighter after the video shoot, and our faces were sore from smiling. I hope the joy we were feeling comes through in our video!"
Catch Sister Fenix in action at Beyond The Pale this Sunday (June 18) with Grá Mór at the Strawberry Fields Tent, and at the Main Stage Merrion Square for Dublin Pride Festival (June 24).
