PREMIERE: R3D shares new single 'Zone Out' featuring Foxy Baba

Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated debut project, The R3D Tape, R3D has shared the smooth lead single 'Zone Out', featuring Foxy Baba.

Blending the boundaries between R&B and hip-hop, 'Zone Out'  was produced by North Carolina beatmaker Axthentic, and mixed and mastered by Simba Bianchi (Tunde Esho).

"We were in the middle of a studio session with a couple of other artists," R3D recalls. "It got so late they all left and it was just myself and Foxy. We were tired but we said we would try one more. The instrumental came on and we instantly came up with the flow and Foxy came up with his hook, and with the idea of putting them back to back. But when we stacked the vocals, we struck gold."

Widely known for his high-energy sets as Tebi Rex's DJ, R3D is rapidly building up an impressive profile as a solo artist, following the release of his acclaimed debut single 'That's The Point', which premiered on Hot Press last year. The R3D Tape is expected later this summer.

Earlier this year, R3D's collaborator, Foxy Baba of the Dublin-based Adolescent Sounds collective, released his debut EP , OLUWA IS INVOLVED.
