PREMIERE: Joshua Burnside shares video for 'Under The Concrete'
The video was shot by David Moody at Vault Artists Studios (where Burnside recorded Into The Depths of Hell) and features his trumpet player Sarah Martin.
Now a month removed from the release of his critically acclaimed sophomore album Into The Depths Of Hell, Belfast-based songwriter Joshua Burnside is unveiling a new music video for one of his album standouts, ‘Under The Concrete’. Hot Press is proud to host the premiere of that video today.
With traditional folk and latin rhythms, and inspiration rooted in shame, uncertainty, and the turmoil of the world, Burnside wanted to capture the gothic macabre of 'Under The Concrete', with the video following the story presented in Joshua's raw and vivid lyrics.
Children flee out windows, disappearing into the "clutches of the devil", and people dance in an upside down world, under the grey concrete. The video was shot by David Moody at Vault Artists Studios (where Burnside recorded Into The Depths of Hell) and features his trumpet player Sarah Martin.
