PREMIERE: Cynthia Catania shares earthy new video for 'Suitcase'
The former Saucy Monky co-frontwoman and Secret Things singer Cynthia Catania is continuing to focus on her solo career, with the release of this enigmatic and very beautiful new video for the song 'Suitcase'.
Hot Press is delighted to host the video premiere for Cynthia Catania's powerful new single 'Suitcase', a stunning production, created in collaboration with filmmakers Sue Ann Pien and Michael Khachadoorian.
Drawing on pagan themes, the magnificently filmed video for 'Suitcase' was shot in the Sequoia National Park in California. It features the L.A.-based artist embodying the role of the high priestess – clad in black and decorated with face paint and animal skulls – being pursued by a hunter.
The former Saucy Monky member, who co-fronted the band with talented Irish songwriter Annmarie Cullen, has been focusing recently on her solo career. Her debut solo single of 2020 was released just before the pandemic devastated the music industry. Six months later, Catania – rather than wait for the world to return to its 'before' state – released 'Remember', a nostalgia-inducing single about her days in the band. Now, she's returned with the sleek, mystical and very beautiful 'Suitcase.
